The Business Sales Consultant is responsible for selling telecommunications and data products and services to business customers. In this position, utilize your talent and follow the steps of a successful sales process: identify customer needs, present solutions, address product inquiries and finalize the sale. Not only is this position responsible for cultivating a client base but also building and maintaining a network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects. Responsibilities: Make outbound contacts to an assigned base of business accounts on a daily basis to drive incremental sales of key products to include telecommunications. Manage the daily funnel of accounts to ensure contact with a minimum of 20 to 30 existing business customers per day to meet assigned revenue objectives for the market area. Conduct \"cold\" calls for new potential customers, based on lead referrals, to help achieve assigned revenue quotas. Maintain and routinely update business customer profile information including key contacts, product interest, long-term business plans or other information to facilitate future opportunities for sales. Work with customers to understand their telecommunication and data product and service requirements. Provide assistance to customers in designing telecommunications products or data systems to best meet existing or future business requirements. Provide product information to qualified customers, upon request, to meet their telecommunication product and service requirements. Respond to customer questions or concerns regarding the system design, product and service capabilities, cost or other factors to ensure they have a detailed and complete understanding of the benefits for their business operations. Work with Sales Engineers, technicians and other sales team personnel to develop system designs and provide price quotes for customers as required to sell telecommunications products and services to customers based on their individual company needs. Sell customers on the value of CenturyLink products and services to overcome objections to proposed system requirements, or cost, to ensure achievement of assigned sales objectives. Complete all administrative tasks as required to ensure timely and accurate records of customer related activities. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Conduct retention and \"win-back\" activities as required. Conduct on-site customer presentations for key sales opportunities as required to facilitate the sale of CenturyLink products and services. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Basic Qualifications: Commissioned sales experience that includes active outbound selling to an assigned base of accounts with demonstrated effective selling skills, which includes new business prospecting or the equivalent in training and experience. Additional or concurrent work experience, which demonstrates strong analytical and applied judgment capabilities or the equivalent in training and experience. Proficiency with MS products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Strong communication skills (oral and written) to include sales presentations to customers. Strong organization skills. Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Business, Sales or Marketing. Telecommunications industry experience with working knowledge of voice, data and CPE products.
